Arnab Jatuh.

Assalamualaikum.

Aku rasa aku dah lama tak buat review pasal anime. Balik-balik pasal life, cerita hati dan perasaan, cerita pasal ayam goreng yang Ginger curik semalam, dan segala macam cerita yang boleh bagi Mak Cik Julie yang duduk selang dua rumah daripada aku ni ngantuk and buat formal request (sambil cekik batang tengkuk aku) mintak review anime cecepat.

Fine, Mak Cik Julie. Saya nak tulis la ni.

Hm.

Actually, sejak balik rumah aku asyik baca/tengok shounen manga/anime saje. Asyik-asyik Beelzebub, pastu tukar Ao no Exorcist pastu Tegami Bachi pastu 07-ghost.
Lama-lama camni, aku tak jadik perempuan ooi (okeh, tipu.)

Lagipun lately ni banyak sangat sequel-sequel anime sekarang. Nurarihyon no Mago: Sennen Makyou (original series: Nurarihyon no Mago) la, Natsume Yuujinchou San (original Series: Natsume Yuujinchou, Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou) la, Kimi ni Todoke II (original series: Kimi ni Todoke) la, Hakuoki Hekketsu-Roku (original series: Hakuoki), jadi sikit sebanyak, aku tak nak la review anime-anime yang dah established ni. Orang lain pun ada banyak buat kan.

So, carik punya carik punya carik, dapatla satu anime baru yang boleh tahan gompak jugaklah.

Usagi Drop.

Usagi Drop is an anime from, again, Production I.G. (my bias studio) based on a manga of the same title by Unita Yumi. In fact, the manga's so good, it was nominated for 2011 Eisner Award!

It's currently on-going, so maybe you can catch few episodes via streaming via Crunchyroll or Anime in Demand, or, do-that-thing-which-you-know-what-I-mean as a way to watch this awesome series.

*ini bukan cerita pedo*

Usagi Drop (Usagi is Arnab in Malay, hence the post title) is a Josei anime with, of course, a slice-of-life drama with slews of comedy.

It warps us into the tale of one Kawachi Daikichi, the common bachelor-in-early-thirties Japanese salaryman who suddenly found himself taking care of six yer old little Kaga Rin, his maternal grandfather's illegitimate child.
Daikichi met Rin during his grandfather's funeral, and was introduced to Rin by other relatives who were, I would say, quite non-receptive about the status of the child.

Observing that his relatives (including his mother, father and little sister) treating Rin like an outcast, Daikichi, who was annoyed by their attitude stepped up and decided to be responsible of Rin. Little did he knew that raising up a child is no child's play!

Sinopsis seterusnya adalah spoiler, dan juga belum diketahui sebab belum ditayangkan lagi. :P

I watched Usagi Drop to episode number 5 so far and was already enthralled by the whole story. The animation technique in the anime, the style, seiyuu choice, the balance between comedy and drama is almost visually perfect.
Some may say the animation was pretty scruffy for its plainness, but I call it rustic. Such scruffiness is close to my heart and contributed to the storyline even further.

The production team indeed tug the innermost string of our hearts by opting to visualize the anime this way, instead of jumbling all sorts of up-to-date techies to plump up the animation.

Huge recommendation for HachiKuro enthusiasts (like me!) and this definitely would shine as masterpiece amongst Josei's fandom.

4.5/5 for overall execution, plus few gold stars of pure awesomeness.

Oh, btw, this serialized manga/anime series had undergone another adaptation!
Movieee!

*Usagi Drop the Movie!*

Starring Matsuyama Ken'ichi as Daikichi and cutest human child on earth, Ashida Mana as Rin, this movie will hit the theaters on 20th August 2011.

I can't hardly wait! ^v^)b

*btw, Usagi Drop is the plushie toy Rin carries throughout the manga/anime/movie*
